About Ammon Nelson

Hi! I’m Ammon Nelson and I live in Utah with my wife and 8 children.  I was born and raised in Salt Lake County, Utah, and have three Alma Maters: Granger High School, Salt Lake Community College and I received my BS degree (pun intended) from University of Idaho in Natural Resources.

I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Brazil Recife South Mission (currently the Brazil Maceio Mission), located in North-Eastern Brazil.

To support my family while I seek to build communities of people who live intentionally for excellence in Life Leadership, I work as a software support technician for Nucor Buildings Group.

I do my best to maintain two blogs in addition to this one, though this is my most active:

Spiffy Thoughts, is my blog for random rantings and my unique observations of life, philosophy, economics and politics.

I am working my way through giving a review of the Federalist Papers at The Federalist Papers – Analyzed though I regret not spending as much time on that project lately.

I am an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons).  If you are curious about how this affects my life, take a look at my profile at Mormon.org here:

I'm a Mormon.
